Some days, I really think this necklace works. On days that I wear it, it seems the days go smoother, people around me are happier and life is less chaotic. It was made especially for me after I saw one similar and reached out to the maker. We ended up trading skills and both us got something out of the transaction. I met this person many years ago when I was waitressing at a place I will go more into later. Became friends on social media, which is where I saw her work.
In my teens, I had friends who were Greek and I have always felt very attached to the Evil Eye. One even brought me back a bracelet from Greece when he was baptized. Once i entered into sobriety, Buddhism became a part of my studies and I think this is partly when I feel calmer when I wear it next to my heart.
